First of all, YAY! I'm so glad that Emily has decided to join the madness! :)
Maybe me posting my chunky monkey stats will encourage the two of you in some way...as I'm pretty certain that I weigh the most...*breaks down into tears and incoherent mumbling*
*sigh*
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 155.2 (HOLY CRAP!!!! 5 pounds shy of 160...I have never EVER been this heavy!!!)
Body Fat %: 27.2 % (Pretty sure that's one step away from death; I'll have to check.)
BMI: 24.4 (More of the same, I'm afraid.)
Sadly, I have gained about 7 pounds in 5 months. Is this even possible? Geeeez.
The good thing about this weigh-in is that I will not (I swear!) weigh myself again until after the 30 days is over. That stupid weight will remain my motivation until the very end.
Also, I looked at the websites that you suggested, Cass. It looks like one hour on the elliptical and about 15 minutes of calisthenics (crunches, jumping jacks, etc) will equal about 500. I'm going to get a Polar monitor today, but I have an hour before I have to get ready for my doctor's appointment (yes, my day just keeps getting better!), so I'm going to use it to *drum roll, please* workout!!! Then, I'll do the same (or a very similar) workout tomorrow with the monitor and see what the differences are in my calories burned, etc.
We can do it! :)
