I am not sure if this was cheating, but I split my workouts up: about 400 calories burned during an hour-long torture session on the elliptical (during which I watched "Things We Lost in the Fire"--really good movie!) and then I had to get ready for my doctor's appointment. While I was out, I bought the Polar F6. I came home, tried it on, and continued to workout (on the elliptical). After 15 minutes, it said I had burned 184 calories...I'm not sure if that's correct. It just doesn't sound right to me. I was working close to my maximum target heart rate most of the time, though. Does that sound right to anyone or does my watch need a readjustment?Regardless, I was beat, so I called it a day after that. Total = (questionably) 584 calories.
(Is splitting up the workouts cheating? Because two 35 minute workouts would be way more feasible for me once school starts back up.)
Needs:
- More workout clothes/attire. If I want to ever workout outside the comfort of my own home, ratty pajamas won't cut it. hehe.
- Also, drink more water. I downed about a gallon of tea, though I know that water is a much better choice.
- I need to figure out my mp3 player. I bought it a year ago (I think) and downloaded a lot of songs on it. Now, it won't let me listen to the songs. (It keeps saying, "Protected." Frustrating? Very.)
And yes, after my appointment, I thought, "Why am I getting back on this blasted thing?!"
"The blog." I told myself. "The blog." :D
LoL, That's hilarious! And no, splitting it up into two sessions is NOT cheating. As long as 500 gets burned, I say it's totally ok! I was actually thinking about that last night.
ReplyDelete184 calories in 15 minutes could be feasible...but I'd check your settings on your watch again, just in case. Good for you, Meredith! Way to do it for the team! I mean, blog!
