day #1: cassandra.

First of all, I think it's wise for us to indicate in the post title who is writing. I got ALL confused earlier! Haha!

Second of all, here are the ugly stats.

Weight: 153.4 (The most I've ever weighed in my life. I laugh when I think of the days in college when I thought 135 was fat).

Body Fat %: 32.4% (I am closer to death than you are, Meredith).

Ah, measurements:
Waist: 29"
Bust 37.5" (an improvement, if you ask me)
Thighs: 25" (yikes!)
Hips: 39" (and no, they do not lie)
Chest (right under the armpit): 36"
Bicep: 11.5"

I won't weight myself or measure myself again until this is all over!!

Day #1: A total of 504 calories burned in 1 hour and 21 minutes -- quite possibly the longest workout ever.

What did I do?: I did it at home and don't believe I'll be doing it here again. It just took so long! I did the Cardio P90X video and thought I was about to die 200 calories in. I then got on the rower, rowed for about 5 minutes, looked at my watch that read 225 and thought, "Seriously? I'm not even half-way there yet??" It was about this time that I really, really, really wanted to give up. But I didn't -- for the sake of the blog alone! My husband laughed when I told him that.

About 100 more calories later, I decided to run/jog/walk around my neighborhood. I had some trouble with my heart rate strappy thing staying in place when I was running and I don't believe it counted about 20 minutes worth of work because when I looked at my watch it said my heart rate was zero. Uhm, not likely. Have you seen this heifer try to run?!

I got back to the house and the count was 342. I did some more rowing and thought, "To hell with it; it's push up time!" I did about 50 push-ups (they weren't pretty) and that got my heart rate soaring. I was able to finish out the 500 by doing more push-ups and some pretty intense crunches.

How am I feeling?: Sucky. That was a lot of work and a lot of time spent doing it. I am definitely going to my classes from now on because we average about 400-500 calories burned per class, especially Boot Camp and Kickboxing and I have NO will power when I am at home and I know I'll give up too easily. I was quite shaky and grumpy afterward and now am completely exhausted. I knew this first day would be rough....but I made it through!

Notes: Drink more water! Buy a better sports bra! Continue to kick ass.

I'm sure my posts will become more consise as I/we get a routine down. By the way, where are you guys?!
