Sorry, I haven't been slacking on the workouts, but I have been slacking on the posting. So here is where I catch this thing up:
Thursday: Run 30 minutes
I approximate that I went about 2.4 miles and I'm not sure the calorie burn because my Polar watch battery is sucking and I can't see the screen anymore...which totally defeats the purpose of having it. Hopefully I can find somewhere that services them.
Friday: OFF
Saturday: Run 3 miles
Well, this is where having this blog makes me feel ashamed of myself. We were out of town and there was a funeral and a birthday party and my own laziness that kept me from getting my run done. I didn't want to throw off the rest of this week either, so I totally missed it and feel really bad about it. :(
Sunday: OFF
Monday: Run 30 minutes
I ran it behind the jogging stroller carrying Kennady for the first time. It was a little more challenging, but not as bad as I had thought it would be. Does make for some killer inclines though. I think I went 1.6 miles.
Tuesday: Run 2 miles
I felt totally wiped out today. I don't know if it was the long weekend (without a run) that did it, or that I haven't eaten since breakfast or that the wind is blowing super hard and I was having to fight it. Who knows, but I got it done and that's all that really matters, right?! :) God was using his mist machine while I was out there too, so that was refreshing. :)

Week 1: Tuesday
Instructions: Run 2 miles.
Ran 11 minutes.
Walked from 11-13:30.
Ran 13:30-22 minutes.
Finished approximately 2 miles (plan to map it out tomorrow to be sure). :)
Burned 253 calories.
Also, I purchased a used Yakima jogging stroller from a fellow AF spouse on base today for $30 when she was initially asking $120. I have to get a tube in one of the tires fixed, but I think I still won the haggle! :)
Tomorrow is an 'off' day! Woo-hoo!

For my own good...Day 1
Well, I know nobody follows or posts here anymore, but I'm going to use this page for my own good if that's okay. I recently decided to participate in a 4 person relay team to complete a marathon together and have been handed the coveted 5 mile leg. So, my 7 week 10K (6.2 mile) training started today and I have decided to do the 10K training so that come the day of the race I am hopefully overprepared. I plan on keeping up with my schedule right here:
Per the 7 week 10K training plan found on marathonrookie.com, day 1's instructions were to:
Run 25 minutes.
This is how it went:
Street ran for 10 mins. straight: 1-10 minute mark
Brisk walk breather: 10-13:30 min. mark
Ran: 13:30-18:30 min. mark
Brisk walk: 18:30-19:30 min. mark
Ran: 19:30-24:00 min. mark
Walk: 24:00-25:00 min. mark
Upon completion, I walked an additional 13 minutes with a neighbor and Kennady. Within that collective 38 minutes, the Polar watch said I burned 530 calories.
Day 1 is complete!!! Yay for kickin' it off and I feel good about my 20.5 minutes of running!! :)
